Rustic-Glam Pumpkin

I recently received a wonderful prize package of Lindy's Stamp Gang products from Anything But a Card.  I was floored by generosity of the prize...the box was chuck-full of embossing powders, glitter sprays, and all kinds of things I can't wait to play with.  Today's card was my first foray into playing with the Starburst Sprays.  I call the result "rustic-glam" because of the combination of the sparkly and the homespun...the glitter and the burlap.

Some Details:
  • I started with a 4 x 5.25" piece of Kraft cardstock.  I layered orange, olive, and brown Starburst Sprays until I was pleased with the color layout.  Once dry, I embossed the cardstock with a quatrefoil pattern and then gave it another couple spritzes of Starburst colors.  The edges were tattered with a Tim Holtz paper distresser, then inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  I also hit the high areas with Walnut Stain with a foam ink blending tool to bring the quatrefoil pattern out a bit more.
  • I used spray adhesive to layer a rectangle of burlap on the embossed background for a touch of rustic.
  • The gorgeous pumpkin image is layered on top of the burlap and accented with Stickles...another touch of glam.
  • Even the "bow" is a combo of rustic and glam...lengths of irridescent ribbon tied with rustic button twine and a wooden button.
