Whenever we get together for these crafty outings, we usually give each other little presents. Nothing big or expensive, just something we made or a great deal we found. Little somethings to inspire each other and that say "hey, I was thinking about you when I made / found this"...and isn't that just the best?!
As usual, I received some fantastic goodies from the gals! For them, I made these little altered bird houses, each one a bit different to suit the personality of each woman. These pinkies were created for my sister, Jenny, and friend, Sue.
A Couple Details:
- The bird houses are actually wooden tag shapes that I've had in the stash for many years. I covered the fronts with various My Mind's Eye Lost & Found papers (some of my absolute favorite papers).
- Each features a Tim Holtz key hole embellishment as the "door". I used alcohol inks to make them blend better with the pink and brown color scheme.
- The "Possibilities" house also features a beautiful bird's nest digital image from The Graphics Fairy.
I'll have the other bird houses coming your way soon!

Boy are you lucky to have a mom and a sister for craft shopping. I am very jealous. AND I'm jealous of your tags. For some reason I find them very difficult to make, go figure. Well, your tags are gorgeous and I'm glad I got to see them and that you're boosting up the economy.
