Thanksgiving Joys

Oh how I love vintage images and layering....ahh, it makes me happy!  Sharing some Thanksgiving Joys with you today in the form of this golden card that combines some of my most joy-inducing things:  My Mind's Eye papers, vintage images, layers, and using stuff that's been languishing in the stash!  Can you feel the joy?  :-)

The Details:
As I said, this card has some serious layers...let's start from the bottom and work our way up.
  • The card base is stamped with a crackle background and the golden hue is pumped up with Distress Ink around the edges.
  • Then we have some golden My Mind's Eye damask pattern paper that is punched along the bottom edge
  • Next comes the K&Co. journaling tag.  I punched through all the layers at this point and added a bit of ribbon and twine.
  • Then some more MME paper.  This time, a narrow strip of plaid embellished along the top edge with scallop scissors.
  • On top of that another layer of MME in a lovely wood grain.  This strip is torn on both ends, inked, and "nailed" with a couple of brass brads.
  • Next comes the leaf stickers and twine bow accent.  Oh boy have those leaf stickers been around for a while!  Years, I'm telling you...YEARS.
Almost there...
  • Now the tag shape cut on my Cricut from cardstock then layered with a vintage book page.  The edges are distressed and inked.
  • Next comes our pilgrim and turkey image.  This was printed on cardstock and fussy cut.  The edges were inked a bit with Distress Ink.
  • And the FINAL layer is some Glossy Accents on the "Thanksgiving Joys" section!
NINE layers...whew.
