Studio L3's Grungy Monday #18 takes us back to 2009 with Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas...{day 8} techniques. There were several great techniques rolled into this one tag. Instead of Christmas, I took mine in a Halloween direction. I'm also entering this in Simon Says Stamp & Show: A Tag, because, well...it's a tag!
I'm scooting in at the last few moments, so I'm skipping the details tonight, but be sure to check out Tim's blog...he details it out much better than I could anyway!
I used alcohol inks to grunge up the shiny metal edging on the tag and also to color the bead. The bead also has a slight coating of Lime Green Stickles. |
Supplies:
Paper: manila tag; SU! vellum; Tim Holtz grunge paper
Stamps: SU! ‘French Script’; Basic Grey ‘Spooky’, ‘Halloween’
Inks: StazOn ‘Jet Black’; Top Boss embossing pad; DI ‘Crushed Olive’, ‘Peeled Paint’, ‘Old Paper’, ‘Vintage Photo’; AI ‘Mushroom’, ‘Oregano’, ‘Aqua’; SU! Classic ‘Eggplant Envy’; Glaze pen ‘white’
Embellishments: Stickles ‘Starry Night’, ‘Black Diamond’, ‘Lime Green’; TH jump rings; Blue Moon bead; Stampendous embossing powder ‘Midnight Black’; assorted fibers
Tools: TH paper distresser; vellum tape; tweezers; foam tape; felt ink blending tool; foam ink blending tool; emery board; heat gun; embossing powder tray
Very 'spooky' indeed! Nice layering! Great tag! Great job!
ReplyDeleteGreat coloring - love the way you've done tim's technique in unusual colors. This is a beautiful tag!
