Challenge Entry: Time is a Companion

I've been playing with the Grungy Monday 09 technique again and have decided to submit this card as my challenge entry.  Lovin' that Tim Holtz "shabby chic".  This time, I used black cardstock as the base for the technique and created this grungy, manly birthday card.

The Details:
  • Check out Tim's tutorial HERE.
  • Once the paint was dry and the car revealed, I stamped the clock face from Tim's 'Playful Journey' stamp set all over the background in Old Paper Distress Ink.
  • The sentiment was stamped in StazOn 'Jet Black'.
  • To hang the clock charm in just the right location, I used a small mm paper punch, then looped the ribbon through a couple times and knotted.  The charm was added using a TH jump ring and safety pin.
  • The clock charm is from A Charming Place.  I recently received my first order and was very pleased with the quality.  Some of the charms were smaller than I anticipated, but shame on me, because A Charming Place clearly identifies the sizes of all their charms.

Supplies:
Paper
: PTI card stock ‘Kraft’; SU! card stock ‘Basic Black’; scrap stripe paper
Stamps: TH ‘Playful Journey’
Inks: Distress Ink ‘Old Paper’; Top Boss clear embossing ink; StazOn ‘Jet Black’; Delta acrylic paint ‘Raw Linen’
Embellishments: gingham ribbon; TH safety pin; TH jump ring; A Charming Place clock face; photo corners

Tools: foam ink blending tool; clear embossing powder; heat gun; TH paper distresser; hole punch; emery board; mini mister; paper towel
